Feather River Campout this weekend & a new mix

I'm super stoked to be playing Friends N Family's Feather River Campout again this weekend. I play at 4:45 AM which is the perfect time for me... So if you're going... Save your last dance for me, yo!

In honor of this weekend & also the fact that it's campout/festival season & also because I had to do this special project... I recorded this set. Because frankly, the best campouts & festivals definitely feel like a trip to outer space. Or one could *trip* to outer space. That's all on you. But.

Well we could also call this set Weird Like Me but I'm reserving that title for one of the new tracks I'm coming out with this year. So. Drum roll please.... BOOM

In Honor of Spring I Give You this New Set

I've been busy in the studio learning how to use my new drum synth to make beats & having a blast! I caught spring fever so I thought I would take some time out of making beats to record this set. It's a lot lighter than I normally go but I thought it fits the season. Enjoy

More in Flyer adventures... Next month's party

I got up at 4 AM to get this little number rocking before work. It took me about 4 hours... Mostly going through all of photoshop's fonts then going to the internet trying to find the perfect robot fonts. I hope I rode the line between good robot font & legibility.

So my partner wants a "Zenomena Productions & FreeDub presents in the first line but I think the text will end up looking ridiculous or small or something. I am still just a newb graphic designer after years of trial & error & still no formal training... Maybe i haven't been creative enough yet? He asked me to try.

I do ask everyone what they think of my flyers though :-) You get a surprising amount of info this way. a lot of my friends are graphic designers as it turns out. or at least went to art school for it. Anyway... the adventures continue

Labor of Love Flyer in the making

So I'll admit I have no graphic design talent what so ever and zero formal training but I've learned a few things over the years of working parties with little budget.

Yes yes the text needs to be re-aligned. We need to add a bleed zone.... but...

I kinda like this flyer. This came from a shooting of the new bay bridge lights show... I wasn't so happy with the pics & I need to go re-photograph it but I kinda like this one! I don't know why... It's missing a lot of text. There will be a flyer back where the text will likely move... But here it is so far


I guess the added coolness is that I've been playing this party for almost 4.5 years now so it adds an extra smile for me :-)
